I'm a sick, sad individual who watches old races like they're something new.

if I haven't seen it, its new to me.

I watched an '82 brands hatch F1 race on youtube, a good time was had. I actually didn't get to finish it, for one reason or another, but I'll re watch it. I think Niki Lada was ahead by like 40 seconds or something.

Rally, hands down. Second would be F1, then after that it starts to blur a bit, with the exception of NASCAR, which is solidly in last.

I'll put on here what I put for the /Drive youtube NASCAR video

I'm a fan of speed. NASCAR, F1, V8 Supercars, Rally, NHRA, ect. I don't have a favorite driver except that guy in second, or battling for position, trying to make a pass or defending position. I have been to a couple lower level truck races, and one NASCAR race. There is a lot going on if you are just there to watch. I love the loud engine noise, the rumble you can feel.

I love the all racing but the best racing is in V8 supercars, bummed everything's changing in the next couple years but great racing.

I prefer working at races, but favorite to watch is endurance racing in general. ALMS and WEC. Unsure on Tudor right now.

But I don't like NHRA racing. I like IHRA....

Different rules. Apparently there are at least 2 ways to get down a 1/4 mile?

Endurance racing. Petit Le Mans is my favorite race to go to. Right length, great crowd, spectator friendly track and amazing cars. The fact it is 40 minutes from home doesn't hurt. My wife and I went to Le Mans last year and it was amazing. From there F-1, Indycar, WRC, air racing, NHRA and unlimited hydroplanes.

Atlanta is a good place to be. Road America, Barber, Atlanta Motorspeedway and Talladega all within a couple of hours. Sebring is 7 hours from here and Daytona 6.

Winged Sprint cars (World of Outlaws) are the most fun I've ever seen in person. 800-900 horsepower, 1200 lbs, 96" wheelbase, direct drive. They slide through the corners so fast, you'd swear the tires were going to rip right off the rim.

If you enjoy waking up before dawn, driving to the middle of nowhere, standing in the middle of nowhere, in the cold/heat/rain/bugs for a few hours waiting to hear anti-lag then seeing a car go flying sideways past you followed by a cloud of dust then wait 2-3 minutes for the next car than it has to be rally.

I can't wait for STPR.

Voted IndyCar, but ALMS/Grand-Am/TUSC (haven't been to a TUSC event yet, but that changes in a couple weeks with Sebring) all rank pretty close together as far as being a competitor at the events. I get garage access for the month of May at Indy, and the level of fan access is super. But that applies for each and every sports car race too.

My odd obsession is having drivers autograph prints of photos I've shot of them racing, so the access really is great.
